As early as June this year, a bankruptcy petition was filed with the Skellefteå District Court. According to documents from the court, an unpaid loan of just over 320,000 kronor prompted the bankruptcy application. The café changed owners in January this year but has not had any business operations since then.
The court hearing was postponed twice because the court was unable to reach the new owners, but the company has now been declared bankrupt nonetheless.
– There has been no business activity during 2026, and we still have not been able to reach the new owners, says Jan Erik Jonasson, the bankruptcy trustee.
