Vero shoe factory doo from Apatin initiated the liquidation procedure, “Nove Apatinska Novine” reports. The company, which produced footwear for famous world fashion houses, including the Italian Prada, currently has around 300 employees.
According to local media, until now refusal received about 90 workers, while it was not specified what will happen to the remaining employees.
Vero was founded on May 1, 1997 as an independent craft shop. In the first three years of operation, the number of employees increased to 50, and shortly thereafter the company had about 100 employees.
Since 2006, Vero has been operating as a limited liability company.
