Frugal Fannie’s Fashion Warehouse in Westwood, Massachusetts, has announced it is closing after 43 years in business.
The women’s clothing store launched its going-out-of-business liquidation sale on Thursday, Sept. 24, at the store just off Route 1. No final closing date has been announced. The sale is expected to last several months.
All merchandise will be further discounted during liquidation, with final sale terms noting that purchases are final. Gift cards and merchandise credits will be honored through Nov. 11.
Co-owners Kathleen “Fannie” Doxer and Orrin Doxer told CBS News Boston that an expiring lease, health considerations, and key staff retirements are driving the closure.
