A popular Wiltshire pub and music venue has been given a lifeline after the company behind it entered liquidation amid “serious financial and governance difficulties”.
Birdhouse Wiltshire Ltd, which traded as The Birdhouse in Market Street, Trowbridge, entered creditors’ voluntary liquidation on September 21, according to records published in The Gazette.
The venue opened in the former Sir Isaac Pitman pub in July 2025, transforming a prominent town centre building that had stood empty for around nine years.
