SolarZero liquidators are taking court action against four former directors of the company.
The company was placed into liquidation in 2024.
It provided solar power systems on lease agreements to about 15,000 subscribers around the country.
But liquidators Adele Hicks and Malcolm Moore, of Grant Thornton New Zealand, have filed High Court proceedings, saying there were important issues regarding directors’ duties and a series of decisions made by the company’s directors before it was liquidated.
They said that meant the company took on obligations it could not meet, and caused significant losses to creditors.
