After falling into administration for the second time in just over two years, Gold Coast brewery Black Hops Brewing has been acquired by Tribe Breweries.
Established in 2015, the brewery first entered voluntary administration in April 2024, but was saved from liquidation when a consortium of existing shareholders and other fans of the brewery stepped in to form a new company and acquire Black Hops in May 2024. Marking a new chapter for the brewery, Nick Boots (ex-Kegstar and Stone & Wood) was appointed CEO in June 2024.
