Insolvencies declared in April increased by 10% compared to the same month in 2025, while the closure of insolvency proceedings grew by 17%. Conversely, the creation of new companies fell by almost 9%, reflecting a slowdown in business activity.
Data from Iberinform indicates that, in the fourth month of the year, 154 companies were declared insolvent, 14 more than in the same month of the previous year. In the first four months of the year, the total number of declared insolvency proceedings increased by approximately 5% compared to the same period in 2025, which corresponds to 31 more proceedings.
