Have you ever joined a travel club which provides holidays in luxurious locations on a timeshare basis?
Well, Wendy Knowler reports that for years now, a club called Vacation Hub International (VHI) has dangled a ‘carrot’ in front of its members: Keep paying for 10 years and you’ll get a big chunk of your money back.
Of course anyone would welcome a sudden cash injection, so many people agree to continue their membership because of this.
However, Knowler says she keeps receiving complaints from members who did keep paying, only to be told they’d missed a deadline, or needed a certificate they never received to qualify for the ‘bonus’.
