A mother who allegedly fled Queensland with her twin daughters and hid them from their father for four years won’t be able to contact them under bail conditions.
The 45-year-old was charged with two counts of child stealing after she was allegedly found with the girls, aged 11, in the NSW town of Taree two weeks ago.
On Thursday she was granted conditional bail following a hearing in Brisbane Supreme Court.
As part of the terms of her release, she can’t contact the girls, whom she is accused of taking from school at Townsville in 2014 when they were aged seven.
She’s also been ordered to wear a tracking device, and her parents, with whom she will live, will pay a $50,000 surety.
