Australian Off Road has entered voluntary administration after its Caloundra factory went quiet, its website disappeared and customers lost contact with the caravan manufacturer. The appointment turns the immediate question from whether AOR has closed to what creditors—including buyers who paid deposits—can recover.
The legal company is Rhost Pty Ltd, which trades as Australian Off Road and Australian Offroad Campers. ABC News reported on Tuesday that Nick Keramos and Bill Karageozis of DVT Mcleods had been appointed administrators. AOR said on its restored Facebook page that it had entered administration after 26 years in business. The company had about 100 employees, according to the ABC.
