Barbeques Galore has not secured any offers “capable of acceptance or implementation” since the company entered voluntary administration in February 2026, so the business will be wound up on June 16, according to the firm that led the sale process, Ankura.
It is expected that 62 stores will be closed and the remaining 27 franchise-owned stores will enter discussions about transitional arrangements. Barbeque Galore’s 500 impacted staff will be paid entitlements and benefits. All stores will trade as normal during the receivership process.
