Iconic Australian retailer Barbeques Galore has collapsed into receivership, putting approximately 500 jobs at risk. The company, which operates 68 company-owned stores and 27 franchise stores, cited cashflow issues as the reason for its voluntary administration. Receivers have been appointed to assess options for restructuring or selling the business. Despite the restructuring process, the company will continue to operate normally, and any paid orders will be fulfilled unless stock is unavailable. Customers can still use gift cards, but they must spend an extra $2 for every $1 redeemed.
