Administrators of property developer Bathla Group have until Thursday to find emergency funding for the company and avoid it turning into one of the country’s biggest real estate failures, as the company’s staff agreed to keep working without pay.
Insolvency specialists Teneo were appointed to Bathla last Tuesday as it buckled under the weight of $3.3 billion in debt. The future of the business and the pipeline of around 14,000 homes, many across western Sydney, remain under a cloud.
