Former Liberal Party staffer Brittany Higgins has been declared bankrupt in a Perth court today.
The Federal Court action against her was brought by her former boss, Linda Reynolds, who was Defence Minister in the Morrison Government.
Ms Higgins alleged she was raped by a colleague in Ms Reynolds office in 2019.
Today’s decision stems from Ms Reynolds successful defamation case against Ms Higgins and means her assets must be managed by a trustee in order to pay money owed to the former minister.
