Andrew Bell, the new go-to advocate for media moguls, wanted NSW Supreme Court judge Ashley Black to put Lachlan Murdoch and Gordon’s takeover bid to Network Ten’s creditors, especially its 750 employees, who could be decisive.
But only if administrator Mark Korda and CBS weren’t allowed to litigate the ‘no’ case in court.
Korda, the co-founder of insolvency specialist KordaMentha, is recommending Ten’s creditors sell the insolvent TV network to CBS. A vote is scheduled to be held in six days and Gordon, a billionaire who lives in the no-personal-tax-territory of Bermuda, is using Bell to try to overrule Korda’s decision.
