A Cardiff-based business has entered liquidation. Orchard Media and Events, a media and events agency based in Butetown, announced it had instructed firm Menzies LLP to place the company into liquidation.
The company made the announcement on Tuesday morning, citing “the challenges of a reducing market and increased competition” for the decision.
The company was established in 2010 and has been responsible for some of Wales’ most recognisable media projects including award-winning women’s running campaign Own the Night, content for Welsh language and culture music festival Tafwyl, and Transport for Wales’ ‘Metro Pay As You Go’ campaign. It is understood that around 70 people are employed at the agency.
