WA home builder Choice Livings decision to call in business recovery and insolvency specialists is bittersweet for would-be Caversham residents Geraldine and Jonathan Hinds.
We were the first in October 2014 to buy a house block on our street, Mrs Hinds said.
Ours is the last house on the street to be built. Everyone else has moved in around us.
She said that in April the couple would have been paying for rent, a mortgage and storage for three years.
We signed our contract with Choice Living in June 2015, the slab went down in November and we were told our dream home would be completed by September 2016, Mrs Hinds told The West Australian.
Since then I have been given seven practical completion dates. Financially, its been so stressful.
