A Christchurch based beauty company has gone into liquidation owing an estimated $610,000 to creditors, with little chance of repayments.
Lashed Limited, which operated eyelash salons in Waltham, Hornby and Bishopdale, was placed into voluntary liquidation on 11 March 2026. Insolvency practitioner Brenton Hunt was appointed as liquidator.
The company, owned and directed by Miriam Talava Reihana, had been trading since 2017 and offered eyelash extensions along with training services.
The liquidator’s first report said the business struggled financially following Covid 19 lockdowns.
Efforts to reduce costs, including closing two locations and making staff redundant, were not enough to recover from mounting tax debt.
