A staff member said the hotel remains open for business.
SVH’s director is Howard Spooner who was also in charge of Quay Street Ltd (QS), the company previously running the hotel, before it went bust in April 2023.

At the time, QS owed almost £1 million to creditors and the company and its assets were sold to SVH, then run by Mr Spooner’s son, Felix, for £72,500 on July 10, 2023.
As of September 2024, Mr Spooner, known for being old friends with Prince Harry, was appointed as director of SVH and his son’s role was terminated.
