Black Hops Brewing has entered administration for the second time in just over two years, after a planned sale of the Gold Coast-founded brewery fell through.
Established in 2015, the brewery’s financial strains were first publicised in April 2024 when Deloitte Turnaround & Restructuring partners David Mansfield and Tim Heenan were appointed voluntary administrators to facilitate a financial restructuring of the business. At the time, the brewery employed a total of approximately 70 staff across its operations, including a brewery and tap rooms in Burleigh Heads, Biggera Waters and East Brisbane.
