Construction insolvencies fell slightly in April, newly published data has revealed.
Official statistics from the Insolvency Service show that there were 324 building firm insolvencies during the month, compared to 376 in March.
Figures previously revealed by Construction News showed a decline in administrations in April, though the likes of London contractor the Breyer Group and developer Sheen Lane Developments still went under.
Sheen Lane was subsequently bought in a pre-pack administration deal by its owner.
The Insolvency Service statistics include administrations but also cover forms of insolvency such as liquidation and receivership. The figures relate to England and Wales only.
