A community interest company set up by a Cornwall councillor who resigned from the Conservative Party amid a racism controversy, is to be liquidated.
St Blazey Recycle Reuse CIC, a community interest company incorporated by Independent Non-Aligned councillor Pauline Giles in 2018, was brought before a winding-up order hearing held in Bristol today (Tuesday February 3) over unpaid rent of almost £300,000.
The CIC was accused of occupying commercial premises without paying rent between March 2020 and July 2024.
