A recent meeting of the Niceair bankruptcy estate has confirmed that creditors will not receive any funds, as the estate was declared assetless.
According to the list of claims, creditors had filed for a total of 184 million ISK, consisting of 32.5 million ISK in priority claims, 144 million ISK in general claims, and an additional 1.6 million ISK in other claims. However, sources from mbl.is report that no repayments will be made.
Niceair was declared bankrupt in the spring of 2023. The airline’s board attributed the company’s downfall to severe operational setbacks caused by its aircraft provider, HiFly, which left Niceair without access to an aircraft.
