Daniel Grollo, the third-generation former chief executive of Melbourne’s most famous construction family, has been declared bankrupt five years after the collapse of the Grocon construction empire, owing more than $10 million to the Australian Taxation Office.
The Grocon group, which Daniel took over running from his father Bruno, built Rialto Towers and the Eureka Tower, transforming Melbourne’s skyline, but collapsed in 2021, owing creditors more than $100 million.
