The sister of bankrupt Jon Adgemis has not turned up at a public examination of the former KPMG deal maker turned pub baron’s business dealings, with her lawyers telling a court that she had not received a summons before saying that she was too unwell to appear.
Despina Adgemis is the second member of the family to avoid having to provide evidence at a special examination of Public Hospitality Group and its spectacular collapse. Adgemis brought in lawyers last week to argue that he should not be forced to provide evidence in the same public forum.
