This morning, TMZ reported that Toni Braxton had resolved a nearly $600,000 debt with the IRS. According to federal records, the singer was hit with a tax lien in June claiming she owed $69,390 for 2022, $278,876 for 2023, and $250,358 for 2024, for a combined total of $598,624. A representative for Braxton told TMZ that the debt has since been resolved.
Unfortunately, this is far from the first time Toni has experienced tax problems. In fact, despite selling nearly 70 million records during her career and becoming one of the most successful R&B singers of all time, Braxton has actually filed for bankruptcy twice while battling the IRS and California’s Franchise Tax Board on and off for the better part of three decades.
