A board falling-out on the back of a poor first-half result has sparked the sudden resignation of Coventry Groups chief executive after just two years.
Peter Caughey, who orchestrated a sweeping restructure of Coventry after relocating the fasteners to gaskets company to Melbourne in 2015, will serve out his six-month notice period on gardening leave.
Chairman Neil Cathie told The West Australian yesterday differences of opinion had emerged between directors and Mr Caughey over the timing and effectivenesss of some of his restructuring initiatives.
Peter considered those differences of opinion and decided to step down, Mr Cathie said.
