Manroland Sheetfed, a manufacturer of offset printing presses that has been in operation since 1871, will be shutting its doors and selling its spare parts business following an announcement of insolvency last month.
The German company is said to be closing its 114,000 square metre headquarters in Offenbach that sits on around 72 acres, with 660 employees to lose their jobs as of 1 June, while the remaining 84 staff will stay until the end of the year in preparation for the sale of the spare parts business.
The production of new machines will be phased out by the end of May, while still committing to fulfilling existing deliveries.
