Former Boro striker Marcus Bent has been declared bankrupt, capping off a spectacular fall from grace.
The 40-year-old starred for Everton, Crystal Palace and Leicester, reportedly pocketing close to 1m-a-year at his Premier League peak.
However public records show the skint ex-player has been forced to declare himself bankrupt in the High Court.
The move comes just four years after he narrowly dodged jail after he was Tasered during a cocaine-fuelled armed police stand-off.
Bare-chested Bent was zapped after charging at cops while brandishing a meat cleaver.
He was handed a suspended sentence after admitting affray and possessing the Class A drug.
