The Federal Court has ordered Mosaic Brands to appoint a second liquidator after it determined the first may have a conflict of interest because it provided the failed retailer with consulting advice before it collapsed.
Mosaic was one of the biggest ASX-listed clothing retailers before it collapsed last year and FTI Consulting was appointed as liquidator. The company operated chains including Katies, Millers, Noni B and Rivers, which have closed, leading to thousands of people losing their jobs.
