Martin was in charge of the Shrimpers from 1998 until the summer of 2024 when a consortium headed up by Justin Rees completed a takeover which saved the National League club.
Under Martin’s stewardship, Blues fell to the brink of extinction during the lowest period of the club’s history.
However, Martin’s financial problems have continued and he will appear in the Chief Insolvency and Companies Court tomorrow morning in front of Judge Briggs.
Martin has yet to respond to the Echo’s request for a comment but it is understood that the ex Shrimpers chairman owes the consortium £3million.
