Amber Rudd faced fresh questions about her shady business career after a Mirror investigation found a former business associate was appointed as the liquidator of one of her failed firms.
The Mirror has revealed that the Home Secretary was involved in running a string of firms in the late 90s and early 2000s that went bust owing millions of pounds to shareholders and to the taxman .
One of them, financial services firm INB plc, went into liquidation in 2001 owing £1.2m to investors.
Company documents signed by Mrs Rudd revealed that insolvency practitioner Antony Batty was appointed as the liquidator of INB despite their previous business links.
