The scale of debt accumulated by Yurtel, a luxury glamping company for Glastonbury Festival, prior to its collapse in May has come to light.
Yurtel, based in Corsham, Wiltshire, left numerous festival-goers without tickets and facing financial losses after it ceased operations. The ECHO exclusively revealed the company had stopped trading in May. The company had been charging between £10,000 and £16,500 for its exclusive ticket and accommodation packages for this year’s event.
However, Yurtel announced last month that it would be unable to fulfil bookings and subsequently stopped trading on 8 May.
