Glasgow-based electrical contractor BGL Contracts Limited has entered administration, resulting in the loss of all 40 jobs after facing mounting financial pressures.
The firm, which has operated for almost 20 years, appointed Interpath managing directors Alistair McAlinden and Geoff Jacobs as joint administrators.
The company specialised in electrical fit-out work for clients across sectors including leisure and hospitality, automotive and retail.
According to the administrators, BGL had been trading in a highly competitive market and had struggled in recent months with rising operating costs, tight contract margins and delays to several major projects.
