Joann is urging customers to steer clear of fraudulent websites posing as the crafting chain’s official outlet as it continues its nationwide liquidation.
The company, which filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy and began closing its 800 stores in March, disabled all online purchases on March 5. Despite this, Joann has received multiple reports of fake websites advertising clearance deals under its name.
“Please shop in-store only,” the company said in a social media post. “Joann.com is available to browse our catalog and find your closest store, but there is no online shopping available during our liquidation. Beware of fraudulent websites!”
