FARMINGTON A probate judge approved a settlement with the estate of Fotis Dulos Tuesday that would require his former criminal defense attorneys Norm Pattis and Kevin Smith to not discuss the case surrounding the disappearance of Jennifer Dulos for 40 years.
The family of Jennifer Dulos was hoping to avoid more publicity, said Attorney Christopher Hug, who negotiated the settlement as the administrator of the estate of Fotis Dulos.
The heirs of the estate were very concerned about confidentiality, Hug told Probate Judge Evelyn Daly. They were satisfied.
Pattis and Smith agreed to the settlement that would also require them to pay the estate $137,000 of a $250,000 retainer Fotis Dulos gave them in the days before he died in January 202…
