The High Court of New Zealand has appointed liquidators for Hawke’s Bay apple grower Crasborn Fresh Harvest. The decision was made on 3 July on the application of the commissioner of Inland Revenue.
According to a report from BusinessDesk, Crasborn Fresh Harvest, a subsidiary of Kiwi Crunch, owed more than NZ$19mn in debt to Inland Revenue, the department responsible for collecting tax in New Zealand.
Inland Revenue first filed an application for the liquidation of Crasborn Fresh Harvest on 16 January and after subsequent adjournments, the case returned to the court on 3 July.
