LA CROSSE, Wis. (WXOW) — La Crosse’s electric buses are out of commission.
According to Adam Lorentz, the director of transit, the buses need maintenance, but the city is struggling to get the parts needed to fix them. That’s because Proterra — the company the city purchased the buses from — filed for bankruptcy in 2023, making customer support and needed materials to fix the buses difficult.
