Legal influencer Alice Stephenson has accused the liquidators of her law firm of making her bankrupt as “punishment”.
In 2023 the self-described “most followed lawyer on LinkedIn”, who has 68,000 followers on the networking platform, liquidated her firm Stephenson Law and transferred its assets to a new business, Plume.
This month she liquidated Plume and sold it to another company, a day before being made bankrupt.
In a triumphant post on LinkedIn last week, Stephenson shared that Plume “has officially joined Elevate, a global law company that shares our vision for a modern, people-first approach to legal services”.
