Lex Greensill, 49, the former director of Greensill Group, has been disqualified from acting as a company director in the UK for nine years after ‘agreeing to be disqualified’ following an investigation by the Insolvency Service.
In the notice about Greensill’s disqualification, the Insolvency Service stated: ‘His conduct breached his legal duty under the Companies Act 2006 to exercise reasonable care, skill and diligence as a company director.’
The ban was ‘accepted’ by Greensill just days before a six-week trial was due to start in London on Monday 8 June, with an agreement to ‘end court action’.
