London | Australian financier Lex Greensill’s exile from Britain’s corporate world is official after he was banned from serving as a director until 2035, avoiding a six-week trial that was due to start on Monday.
Britain’s Insolvency Service announced on Thursday that Greensill, 49, had agreed to a nine-year disqualification from serving as a director of UK companies after his firm Greensill Capital collapsed with debts of £1.6 billion ($3 billion) in 2021.
