PEOPLE are encouraged to reach out for help if they are struggling over the holiday period.
Christmas is often a time of celebration, but for some it can be one of the most stressful times of year.
Lifeline Central West crisis support manager Stephanie Robinson said people can struggle emotionally, mentally and financially.
“You find that this time of year people do feel many different pressures,” she said.
One of the big factors that comes into play is feelings of loneliness and isolation, particularly if they have lost a loved one during the year.
“If that is something that is missing from your life, that can be exacerbated at Christmas time,” Ms Robinson said.
