BTG, formerly Begbies Traynor, has been appointed to Tang Dynasty Limited, of South Bridge.
A petition was presented to Edinburgh Sheriff Court calling for the firm to be wound up, and Kenneth Craig and Kevin Mapstone of BTG were appointed joint liquidators.
Thomas McKay, BTG managing partner for Scotland and Northern Ireland, said headwinds including rising business costs as well as additional pressures around buildings expenses in the Scottish capital had an impact on the company.
He also pointed to increasing staff costs exacerbating a difficult trading environment for restaurants.
