Liquidators are investigating whether produce company Kiwi Crunch Exports Ltd traded while it was insolvent.
The Hawke’s Bay-based company was placed in both liquidation and receivership on August 11. In their first report, liquidators Raymond Cox and Gareth Hoole from ECOVIS KGA, said they are investigating whether Kiwi Crunch traded while insolvent.
“The liquidators have considered whether the company has traded under insolvent circumstances.
“The fact that the company has not been able to honour all its commitments to its creditors as they have fallen due would indicate that it may well have traded insolvently at times in the past,” the report said.
