A former high-flying journalist who helped set up fast-growing public relations and investor relations agency Media & Capital Partners is suing the company, claiming it wrongfully dismissed him after he was diagnosed with depression, and is trying to avoid paying him his equity entitlements.
In a claim lodged with the Federal Circuit Court of Australia under the Fair Work Act, former Fairfax Media journalist Asher Moses alleges that, after being a driving force behind the growth of the company, he was suddenly sacked at the end of June, deemed to be a so-called bad leaver and therefore forced to sell his shares back to M&C’s founders for nothing.
