A Midlothian distillery that was previously branded ‘stunning’ has collapsed into liquidation. Secret Garden Distillery has been ‘voluntarily wound up’ after almost a decade.
Business advisory group Opus Restructuring LLP has been appointed as joint administrators. The reason for calling in liquidators is not currently known, reports the Daily Record.
However, documents on the Companies House website show a change of address from the original Old Pentland Road in Edinburgh to liquidators at 9 George Square Glasgow. A public notice dated July 7 advises that a meeting held earlier that month deemed the company be “voluntarily wound up”.
