The closure of Lithgow-based ICF Haulage has been described as a major blow for the region, with 14 jobs likely to be lost as the long-running Great Western Highway disruption continues to take its toll on local transport operators.
Hipco Pty Ltd, trading as ICF Haulage, entered voluntary administration this week, with an appointment and first meeting of creditors lodged through ASIC on July 13.
The family-owned business had operated from Lithgow since 1999, building a reputation in quarry haulage and the transport of sand, gravel, road base and aggregates across NSW.
