Mama Rocks – Burger Kitchen Limited, a Nairobi-based gourmet burger chain, is facing possible liquidation following a petition filed by one of its co-founders, Samantha Amimo Mwedekeli.
- Court filings reveal that Mwedekeli submitted a petition for the company’s winding up on October 16, 2024 with the hearing now scheduled for 12th June.
- On the same day the petition was filed, the founders announced that they would temporarily close down to “work on some important changes for the future of Mama Rocks.”
- The notice now invites creditors and shareholders of the chain to appear in court to support or oppose the petition.
