Berlin-based Native Instruments GmbH has entered preliminary insolvency proceedings. Native Instruments is the parent company of iZotope, Plugin Alliance, and Brainworx.
According to a report by CDM (Create Digital Music), a preliminary insolvency administrator has been appointed for Native Instruments, which means the company’s assets may undergo restructuring, including potential sales.
In 2021, a majority stake in Native Instruments was acquired by private equity firm Francisco Partners. In 2022, the company launched Soundwide as a unified brand alongside iZotope, Plugin Alliance, and Brainworx in an attempt to consolidate these audio software brands under one organization.
