Corporate insolvencies in the Czech Republic have risen sharply in 2025. The Moravian-Silesian Region was particularly affected, followed by Central Bohemia and the capital, Prague.
Last year, 6,213 self-employed entrepreneurs in the Czech Republic went bankrupt – an increase of 16 % compared with 2024. At the same time, courts received 6,568 insolvency applications, representing a rise of 12 %. This brought the number of corporate insolvencies to the highest level since 2021, according to an analysis by CRIF – Czech Credit Bureau based on data from the portal www.informaceofirmach.cz.
